Saying goodbye to our fathers’ land/ stolen land/ rags or riches land/ tax is a dirty word/ I take what’s mine land/ out of many, one/ socialism is dead/ it’s how we’ve always done it/ just lean in land/ add women and stir / it’s 9 to 5/ it’s 5 to 12/ if you don’t like it just leave/ deregulation land/ liberation land/ hope labor/ side hustle/ freelance fetish/ the land of storytelling/ putting lipstick on a pig/ corporations are people/ human capital/ consumers/ don’t touch my traditions land/ in free markets we trust/ don’t ruin it for my children/ nature has no children/ rainbows are fake/ the land of endless expansion/ expendable/ expenses/ shareholder supreme land/ brave new world/ the reign of free choice/ two weeks notice/ it’s 5 to 12/ just breathe in the fresh air/ burnout is for losers/ get your head out of the clouds/ self-care land/ selfish care/ I pay you to care/ free money makes lazy/ the land of the middle class/ breadwinners/ Kool-aid drinkers/ women are better mothers/ housemaids/ factory workers/ the land of unlimited wants/ commodities/ tragedies of the commons/ it’s all a game/the economy, stupid/let me tell you how it’s done/ move fast and break things/ the earth’s green is gold/ it’s 5 to 12.

 
 
 
 

It’s 5 to 12 is a reference to the Dutch expression “het is vijf voor twaalf” which connotes a critical turning point where measures need to be taken before it will be too late.
